If you are a lonely girl, always sitting on the corner of the class, and lunch in the backyard of the school, don’t let it any longer. It must be sucks to always alone, no friend and always be the victim of bullying. Why is that happen? All because you are the lowest strata of the food chain. They eat you because you are the weakest. They think they strong than you. It’s all just an emotional games. But don’t freak out. Get ready to change it all! This is how to be popular!

What is ‘popular’ actually? Popular is a condition where everybody around you gets attention to you. This is a condition where everyone you know and you don’t know treat you well. Popular mean is known by a lot of people and liked by many people. A few days ago, there’s a friend of mine ask me how to be popular, at least how to make her be remembered. Let’s discuss it.

Let me tell you, only there are two things could make you popular. Yeah girls, it’s only two. First, this is the easiest, you have to be BEAUTIFUL. Ohh, hell yeah! Who doesn’t wanna get close to a beautiful girl? A beautiful girl is a desire. All can be done with only the beauty of your face. Well, this is the fact. Just look around. Let’s analyze! Most of the popular girl has beautiful face. Believe me, I’ve held an opinion poll on instagram, and the result is 71% agree with my statement.

A beauty can be achieved by treatment. Let’s say that you are not beautiful enough but you are doing treatment diligently. Okay, that’s good. Every beauty girl always does treatment as well. Treatment is an important thing for a girl. It’s not a must, but if you wanna compete with another girl, you should do this. “Treatment spent a lot of costs, I have no money, wouldn’t I be beautiful?”. Everybody calm! But hold on, I’m not saying that treatment spent a lot of costs. Why? Because you can get natural treatment. You can make a beauty treatment from natural ingredients. I’ll share the recipe of natural beauty treatment on another post.

Then the second is, if you are not beautiful, this is the greatest way for you to be popular. Be ATTRACTIVE! “oh come on, attractive is the part of beauty!”. Girl, your thinking is too narrow. Attractive mean, you should have something inside you to interest another people. You should have something to make them accept you. And to be attractive you should have something called establishment. You should have a strong establishment. By the strong establishment, you can accept yourself  how the way you are. A people who make a good friend with themselves has the good establishment. They are sturdy, can bypass the storm just like pass the breeze. A establishment builds a strong character. Something we can’t see, but we can feel it. A Strong character can influence people around. The influence here means every single person nearby you focus on you. That’s what we called the aura. By that, everybody around you can accept you so well. Brace yourself. Not every single person can do this. When you read this theory, I’m sure that you can imagine how to do this perfectly. But practice is harder than what we’re thinking. So, convince yourself that you can do it. Do it slowly till no one realizes that there is something different about you. Because a sudden transformation would just make people gives too much attention to you, but commonly is not good attention. So just enjoy your transformation. Do it slowly without surprising anyone till they accept you and not bullying you without conscious. But if you wanna make this easy, go find another society, different environment. Easy to start in the new place.

Is it works? YES. It’s happening in a real world. There is a girl, she’s not beautiful. But she’s popular. She has so many friends. She surrounded by people who always gives her smile and always ask how is she today. The thing she has is something we just discussed, ATTRACTIVE. She is fun to be around. She is not being anyone else, only be whatever she is. But she can mingle with others. That’s her good point, that’s why people accept her, that’s why people like her.

When you read this, maybe, you expect to be really popular. But my question is, why? Why do you want to be popular? Why everyone wants to be popular? This is the paradigm that develops in the society. What I wanna say is, a popular is not our main needed. Some people want to be popular because of    they thirsty for being famous. But let me tell you, there are a lot of fake in the fame. Famous or not, popular or not, let yourself surrounded by happiness. Ask yourself, are popular what you really want? Are popular your true happiness?

WHO SAID LADIES CANT DO ANYTHING IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING? I DARE YOU!

Are you a girl studied mechanical engineering? Go ahead girl, you are not alone! As you know, mechanical engineering is a major which is full of boys. From all of the major on the university, this major is the most popular with the man. But who says that woman in mechanical engineering can’t do anything? Who says that we are lost in major? Hell, NO! This is the major I chose. “are you insane?”,”are you out of your mind?” those are the common question I’ve been accepted for the last three years. So what? Am I did something wrong? Girls, are you did something wrong join the mechanical engineering? Here I wanna share about my experience become a minority on my Mechanical engineering’s life.

Hell, NO! Absolutely nothing’s wrong. Why can I say so? Because I did. When I was at the junior high school, I like everything about car. And I promise to myself, one day I’ll take the mechanical engineering as my major in university. It’s not an easy case. When I graduated from the senior high school I wanna register myself to mechanical engineering into one of the best university in my country, Indonesia. But my parents disagree with my decision. But I’m not giving up, while we end every single day with a fight, I’m struggling to get the chair in the university. You know what they said? “You are a girl, so act like a girl!”. But I accepted as the student of diploma mechanical engineering. I don’t care about what people saying about me, about my decision. Those words would only vaporize someday. Finally, officially, in September 2014, I become the student of mechanical engineering UGM.

But hold on, I’m not only going to tell you about my college’s life, but I wanna share a story about the women’s struggle in mechanical engineering. Okay, let’s start with my story. I was on 4^th semester and we got welding practicum. I don’t know about welding, I mean, how to weld a metal while your face covered by a mask? I even don’t know who to see the welding with that black glass on the mask. Then our instructor shows us how to weld. We give our attention to him, I try my best to understand what he talking about. After that, time to practice! We practice it, at first I really confused how to practice it. I try to turn on the flame, but the flux always sticks on the metal table. I try for a few times but still failed, even my instructor gives me an example to make me understand. So we have about 10 jobs. And every job must be explored first to the instructor. I was spent my whole time on the first job and keep failed while my friends pass through to the second or third job. Then I pass the first job and going to the second job. I still cannot weld well, really! I really look like an amateur. I failed for a many time and should grind the weld to repair it. Next day, I pass the second job and going to the third job. In this job, I feel like I get used to it. My welding is good time to time. One time, my instructor suspect me because of my good welding, he said,”who helping you weld this?”. He doesn’t believe that the welding results is all by myself. On the next job, I prove to the instructor that I weld on my own, I weld in the presence of the instructor. And he believes me. He proud of my work (FYI, he told my story on welding practicum on the next class to motivate the girls haha). I finish my last job and I can’t imagine that I’m not the last one. Because there are a girl and a few boys that unfinished their job. Here is my photo when I do welding.

I got a friend, a girl. She joins mechanical engineering like a foolish. I mean, when she registered, she should click the civil engineering, but I don’t know how she lost her focus and click the mechanical engineering. So that was her first semester, and she got technical drawing class. You know, when you on the first semester of mechanical engineering, you should draw a machine part by hand. So she draws, but really she can’t imagine the draw. She can’t read the technical draw, she can’t imagine how to change the draw into 2D or 3D, so she got confused all the time and start CRYING! Yeah.. this is what we waiting for.. every girl on mechanical engineering has passed their college by crying, at least in her first semester (doesn’t apply to me). But finally, she through it. On the 4^th semester, he with me on the AutoCAD class, and I see her draw with AutoCAD very well. She needs a long time to think about the draw, but she can do it. she said,”why we are not drawing with AutoCAD  since the first time so I don’t need to cry?”. And I laugh! But really, her spirit is inspiring.

Then I have another friend, of course, a girl. This is the succesful girl in our mechanical engineering. She learns mechatronic engineering when she’s on vocational high school. She is very accomplished. She joins a lot of engineering competition. And the biggest one is she join a world competition in German, I’d forget about the name of the competition. But she said she is the only girl join mechatronics competition at that time. She is really smart. She can solve any problem. Sometimes, when I talk to her, seems like I talk with a lecturer. But, because I’m the stupid one on mechanical engineering, I always study on her boarding house. I learn a lot from her, even I can’t remember what I learned. Especially when the exam comes, I’ll be the most diligent to visit her. And now she works on Singapore. WOW! I’m happy for her.

Let me tell you what I like in this major. The boys! Not because I’m surrounded by handsome boys (well, this just the bonus). But because the girl is very respected by the boys. Really, if you want to be queen, join mechanical engineering. That’s a little story from me. I hope this story can motivate you to stay focus on your mechanical engineering program and if you are a girl doubtful with your step on this major, I hope after you read this, you have a better sight about mechanical engineering. LET’S SEE THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD FROM 10318,24 FEET – THE CHARM OF INDONESIA

Hi guys, let me invite you to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation from 10318,24 ft. Because in this time, I wanna share my experience becoming a mountain hiker. Well, that was my first time to hike a mountain. It’s a quite high but most of people told me that the track is not too difficult for a rookie. So, I went there, one of the mountains in Indonesia, it is Merbabu Mountain. FYI, this mountain is an inactive mountain. If you are a beginner like me, there are a lot of things you should prepare and at that time it freaks me out. That was the first time and you don’t know how’s the condition. Its like, what would I be? But, Im going to tell you what preparation you should do, so don’t freak out!

Okay, first of all, the thing that you need is permission. You’ll go to the jungle, to the one of dangerous that may kill you, I mean, its not something you can underestimate. So, you need to ask permission to your parents. At least, there is somebody that knows you are going to hike a mountain. When you decide to hike a mountain, in this case, you are a beginner, don’t do it alone. Find a few people that have experience in hiking mountain.  Second, you need to prepare some stuff and your main needed. What’s that? Here you are :

A.      Main Tool

• Carrier

This thing will help you to carry all of your stuff. This is the important one. Don’t use any bag carelessly. Why? You need a comfort bag because it’ll hang on your back as long as your travel.

•   Track shoes

You’ll hike a mountain by your feet, so make sure you use right shoes. Track shoes are the best choice.

•  Jacket

Mountain is a high place surrounded by a million trees. It will be so cold at night. This thing to avoid hypothermia. There are a lot of case about hypothermia, so be careful.

•   Tent

Imagine you are in the savannah, arrived at night, tired, what would you look for? A rest area. So you need a tent. Make sure you have been practice to build a tent. There a few types of tent based on the capacity. Commonly, we use the tent with 4-5 capacity. So, discuss with your crew about it. You can roll to carry this.

• Mattress

It is gonna be your sleeping mats. To block the cold caused by the soil.

• Sleeping bag

The jacket is not enough. The cold is very piercing your body. So the sleeping bag is the important one. It’s a must for a mountain hiker.

• Mountain stove and nesting

This stuff helps you to not starving on a mountain. Commonly, one crew of hiker only need each one.

•  Flashlight

You gonna walk among the trees at night, the thing you need is a flashlight. You need a light. So don’t forget it.

B.       Supporting Tool

1.      Raincoat

In my experience, i went to the mountain in the rainy season. So, I bring the raincoat.

2.      Gloves

It covers your hand from the cold and the bite from animal also sharp twigs.

3.      Knife

When you make some food, or your way is blocked by twigs, you gonna need this.

4.      Medicine

Because this place is so dangerous, you gonna need some medicine. At least, just bring first aid kit.

5.      Food

Because I’m a simple person, I always bring the simple food also. The main food I bring is the instant noodle. But if you are a creative one, you can bring vegetable or rice.

6.      Drink

Don’t forget the drink. Usually, I bring 2 bottles of big AQUA.

7.      Trashbag

Honor the nature. Don’t throw the garbage away, make sure you keep in the trash bag.

Well, that’s the important thing for a hiker. For the detail, you know what you need for yourself. So, back on my experience. It was my first semester in university, I joint a few friend of mine to hike merbabu mountain. FYI, there are few hiking trails, that are Selo, Cunthel, Tekelan, Suwanting, and Wekas. We choose Selo because it is the safest path. At that time, we only knew two hiking trails, Selo and Wekas.

It was rainy season, along the road we got wet because of rain. Also, when we arrived in the basecamp. So, it was 2 p.m., and we start to hike. It was weekend, so the mountain is full of people. That makes me feel safe, you know, a lot of people, I guess, everything will be fine.

Night comes, we got some problem. The crew before me got an accident. One of their crew got hypothermia, that was our first conclusion. Because of she cold and doesn’t move. So my crew tries to help them. We cover her with a sleeping bag, while some of us make her a hot tea. It took a long time to make her feel good. Finally she good, and it’s not like what we thought first, about hypothermia. Well, we glad for that. So, that crew decided to stay, and my crew continues our hike.

Ohh, I almost forget. Selo has 5 posts. The first post named Dok Malang, this post not really far from the basecamp. Second post named Pandean. The track is still sloping.the position of this post is in the middle of the forest. Third post named Watu Tulis. Here is an open field and we need to climb. Fourth post named savannah one. Just like the name, no trees in this field, only long grass. To arrive at this post, we must pass through a steep climbing path. The fifth post is Savannah two. The way we pass through savannah 2 is very beautiful. We can saw the cloud under us. And then we arrived at the top, named Kenteng Songo.

Maybe at 8 p.m., we got to rest in savannah 1. When we got there, its rain. So we build a tent and stay for a night. We continue at 4 a.m and we arrive in another savannah, but it is not savannah 2. Savannah 2 only pass a steeps cliff, but we are so tired. We decide to stop at this savannah because one of our crew seems doesn’t strong enough to continue, so we enjoy the view. But pity, we cant enjoy the sunrise because it blocked by the cloud.

But still, I’m so impressed with what I see. The thing I never imagined before. I never thought that I’ll get there, to the top of the mountain. It is tired, but it all paid by the scenery. So thank God I’ve been there. The weed grass washed away by the wind as if waving. The edelweiss flower, the flower that only grows on the mountain, so beautiful. From this view, we can saw another mountain. I have no word. I’m so impressed.

Then we go down to our tent, it was rain. So we cooked some meal to eat. We waited until the rain goes away. At 8 a.m. we decided to pack and leave the place where we rested. We met another crew, they were from Jakarta, so we go back to basecamp together. But we got some problem, one of the Jakarta’s crew got an angle. So, we stopped and help him. But, he’s getting severe, he got hypothermia. And looks like he cant stand. So, we cover him with double sleeping bag. The condition getting worst, so our crew makes him a stretcher made of bamboo trees. The soil was so wet, I got fell for a few times. My green shoes covered with wet soil, so it was not green anymore. My carrier, my pants, my jacket are so dirty. I and a few girl bringing the carrier, while the boys carry the stretcher. Because the can’t carry stretcher while bring the carrier, so the girl bring all of the carriers they can’t bring.

Our expectation is we arrived at the basecamp at least at 2 p.m, but because of the accident, we came late. We arrived at the basecamp at 6 p.m., and you know, the thing I should do first is calls my mom. I guess she worrying about me. Right! When I call her, she start crying, and I tell everything, that I’m okay, and there is some accident up there. The funny one is, my mom almost call the rescue team to find me up on the mountain. You should know, that there are three boys in my crew, and they are work as the rescue team. So my mom wanna call the rescue team, while I was with the rescue team. Haha. But we glad that everyone is okay. We also happy to meet new friends.
